My Life After GPU Will Never Be Same Thanks To Bitmain
Anyone who's in the Bitcoin and mining space will have heard of Bitmain. They're a Chinese firm and industry leader when it comes to mining cryptocurrency hardware.
I was mining with GPU for a while and was earning a bit, and it was fine. But my sheila started complaining about the noise. I got myself a water cooling GPU system and it quietened it a bit, but the truth is, it was still a bit noisy and the heat was incredible. Even in the WA winter. Shouldn't complain, haha.
Anyway, I decided to take the plunge and get a Antminer S17. Did my research and thought that was best. I got it from these guys who were super helpful. I've dealt with them a few times before and I can highly recommend them.
Anyway, I ordered my S17 and 5 days later it came.
Excited wasn't the word! I set it up and plugged it in, and everything seemed to be going smooth. It looked like I was earning some nice BTC with my 53 TH/s. It was clocking up nicely, especially if you can get lecky as cheap as I can, nudge nudge wink wink ;)
So, I did my bit for the Bitcoin network, sured up the network and earned myself some BTC at the same time. It was like poetry. I never earned so much in a day. There was less noise and a lot less heat too. Although with the winter almost on us, I think I might go back for some GPU heat, haha.
SO, I'm there with my S17, thinking I'm king of the hill, but now Bitmain are releasing their next one: S19 Pro. Almost double my hashpower. WTF! Not really happy with that, especially with the halving almost on us.
Not a right lot I can do. I can't afford an upgrade, and if my lucky wasn't't so cheap I would deffo have to hang up my rig, but with my friends in the right places, I can keep going.
Anyway, I just want to let you all know that mining is amazing, and can be profitable if you get the right equipment. It will probably take a nosedive after halving, but once price rebounds, I think we're in for a massive spike.
If anyone has any questions, get back to me....
